Hope Like A Window

Hope, like a window, is a frame holding up a new world.
It gives us a glimpse of the atmosphere we haven't been living in, day and night.
It shows up when light pours through and dances on our mundane, on our usual, on our insides. Hope, like a window, challenges us – challenges us to think of the other side, other options, other experiences. Even when we are comfortable where we are.
Hope, like a window, is honest and raw but always inviting.
Hope sings a new song of a sunrise and thunders the roar of justice.
Hope protects us for what we aren't ready for but reveals to us what we are to expect.
Hope draws us in whether we're in the break of dawn, middle of day or about to lay our head to rest. Hope is always what we allow. When the day gets heavy, or we want to hide, curtains are there for us to block it. Hope, like a window, is not always on display. But when it is, we get to experience the incredible sights of a beautiful new day.
Hope, like a window, allows us to see what we wouldn't have otherwise. It takes us seeing things with inner eyes.

Hope, like a window and see.

Light Breathes

Light needs to breathe too.

Through the cracks and breaks of the branches.

Through the reaching leaves,

and the birds nests in the hidden corners,

light needs to breathe too.

Let the light breathe a little all around you,

take the sunshine to your soul -

let it jolt you into actions of light.

Showing love, being kind, doing right.

Light needs to breathe through.

Unshackled

Unbound
Released

I'm found

Restored
Redeemed

A place
I've only dreamed

Hope
Not in man
Life
In God's hands

A new day
Awakes
My heart

Breaks

Open
Scars

close

I see
afresh

New waves
New breath

New sights

Behold

A Lamb was slain
Risen again

Not to keep us bound
to chains we create

Unchained

I regain
My strength

To refocus
My eyes

On the One
I release myself

Step out from hiding
For the One

I adore

the newness
The unknown welcomes me

I break free

unshackled

Peace and Quiet

A pen to paper
A thought to words
A calming of the spirit
A clearing of the mind
There is a peace and quiet
with words
That are expressed

And trusting in the Divine

Grown Woman
I’ve grown so much
built up my walls
cut down my strings

carried my feet across
finish line after finish line
knelt down
ran forward,
fell

I’ve had victories
and I’ve had failures
fortunes
and losses
but the reality is

when I stopped building
and rested

that’s when everything got built
